Newborns have sharp little nails and no control over their hands yet, so they scratch their own faces, usually in their sleep or while settling. Most scratch mittens slip straight off. Ours have an extra long cuff that folds to the perfect length and stays put, with 100% Mulberry Silk sitting soft and breathable against their hands so nothing rough touches their skin.
